Originally from just outside Chicago, Illinois, Ron Romano came to Nashville in 2015 to assume the role of I.T. Technology Specialist and Systems Engineer for Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. With a long career in technology spanning over 20 years, Ron has experience in recording engineering, audio/video systems design and engineering, networking and macOS administration. Prior to moving to Nashville, Ron designed and sold high end home theater systems for 12 years and ran a recording studio for 7 years in the mid 90’s. In his role at Belmont, Romano is responsible for managing over 700 Apple Computers and over 150 iOS devices, and systems technology for all campus recording and film studios, which includes 4 Music Production Studios, an S6/RedNet 7.1 Mix Room, a RedNet equipped ADR/Foley Studio, A 50-seat S5/RedNet 7.1 Mix Stage, and a 250-seat Dolby Atmos/S5/RedNet Mix Stage. In addition, Romano techs for Music Row studios that include the world class Ocean Way Nashville, Historic Columbia Studio A and Historic Quonset Hut Studio.
