Michael Babcock, CAS. After graduating from the University of Miami School of Music in 1996 with degrees in Music Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Jazz Saxophone, Michael was invited to join Local 700. Through his 24-year career Michael has worn the hats of sound effects editor, sound designer, supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer, garnering four Golden Reel Awards (War of the Worlds, The Dark Knight, Inception, Mortal Kombat) and 14 additional Golden Reel nominations. In 2020 Michael has acted as supervisor and re-recording mixer on the upcoming features Bad Hair, An American Pickle, Candyman, The Babysitter 2; sound effects editor/additional sound designer on Wonder Woman 1984; and is currently re-recording The Trial of the Chicago 7and Reminiscence at Warner Brothers.
