Brian Chumney is a two-time Oscar-nominated and three-time Golden Reel Award-winning Supervising Sound Editor at Skywalker Sound. With a career spanning over 25 years, Chumney has collaborated with various directors, including Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, and Dean DeBlois, among others, on live-action and animated features, immersive and interactive entertainment projects, and episodic series.

His contributions to West Side Story and The Wild Robot earned him an Oscar nomination for each. He also earned three Golden Reel Awards for Bridge of Spies, Carne y Arena, and The Wild Robot. Additional notable credits include Ready Player One, The Revenant, and Kong: Skull Island as a Dialogue Editor, and The Post, The Croods: A New Age, Hawkeye, The Fabelmans, Ultraman: Rising, and The Acolyte as a Supervising Sound Editor.

His career began at LucasArts in 1999, before moving over to Skywalker Sound in 2000. As a native of Franklin, Tennessee, Chumney is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University.
