Robin Whittaker began her career in the film industry as a production assistant on Martin Scorsese’s Casino. After working on several films in New York as both a picture and sound assistant, she landed a job on Alan Parker’s Evita, assisting the music editor. Robin immediately fell in love with the music side of post-production, which in turn led her to relocate to London, where she worked on many acclaimed projects such as the Bond films, the Harry Potter films, Hot Fuzz, and the Narnia movie.
In 2012, Robin moved to Los Angeles. Since then, she has collaborated with Harry Gregson Williams on Niki Caro’s Mulan, Nathan Barr on Flatliners, Eli Roth’s House with the Clock in Its Walls, and Netflix’s female action hero film, Kate.
Robin has maintained a cherished 20-year working relationship with Brazilian composer Antonio Pinto on numerous projects, from Mike Newell’s Love in the Time of Cholera, Andrew Niccol’s The Host, Niki Caro’s McFarland USA, the Academy Award-winning documentary, Amy, and most recently, Mel Gibson’s Flight Risk.
For the past six years, Robin has worked with renowned hip-hop artists Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge on projects that include Amazon’s Cross, Apple’s Sugar, Hulu’s Reasonable Doubt, Starz, Raising Kanan, and many others.
Currently, Robin is working on Netflix’s upcoming show, Man of Fire, with composer Max Aruj.
