Sound designer-turned-sound-story-writer Jennifer Walden loves waveforms, the Oxford comma, and pushing buttons. After graduating from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with bachelor's degrees in both Professional Writing and Electronic Media, she worked as a Mixer/Sound Designer at Ultra-Sound/The Napoleon Group in NYC for eight years before leaving the studio to start her writing career. Her stories are regularly featured online via A Sound Effect and in magazines such as Mix, CineMontage, Sound & Picture, and in the UK's First Frame (from the Guild of British Film & Television Editors). She's written for Post Magazine, postPerspective, Televisual, and Below the Line. Last year, she was nominated for two G.A.N.G. Awards for 'Best Game Audio Publication, Presentation, or Broadcast' but didn't win. Jennifer enjoys being a mom, soapmaking, homebrewing beer, and staring off into space.
