After graduating with a BS in Audio Technology and an MA in Film Production from the American University in Washington DC, Bjørn was fortunate to start his career as a junior re-recording mixer on newly built digital mix stages at Bavaria Film in Munich, Germany. After a couple of years of working in Germany, Bjørn had the chance to meet the filmmakers of the US/UK co-production feature “Event Horizon” and was offered to join their post sound team in the UK and transition into editorial. Bjørn embraced the opportunity to work on projects for the entirety of post as he has always enjoyed the editorial process and the early creativity it allowed. He moved to London and was fortunate to work on many major US/UK feature films over the next 19 years. It was in the UK where Bjørn meet Randy Thom and Dennis Leonard from Skywalker Sound in California and had the opportunity to join their team on the fourth “Harry Potter” film. A kind invitation afterwards lead to Bjørn working in London and at Skywalker Sound for a few years before making the move to California permanent in 2016.
