Born in Lima, Peru, Juan Cisneros moved to Los Angeles in 1989 to achieve a more fruitful life for his family. He came to Los Angeles knowing only Spanish but quickly became fluent in English. 

Two-time Emmy Award winner for Best Production Sound, Cisneros has over 24 years of experience in production sound mixing. Since his first show, “Snoops”, as Utility Sound Technician, Cisneros worked hard to climb up the career ladder learning from mentors like Stephen Halbert, Mark Ulano, and Von Varga. He received his first sound mixing opportunity on American Dreams and hasn’t looked back. He’s been the production sound mixer on House MD., Real Husbands of Hollywood, Battle Creek, Code Black, Mayan MC, Station 19, Pam & Tommy, and is currently working on Truth be Told. 

Cisneros is a member of the Academy of Television Art and Sciences, Cinema Audio Society and has served on the I.A.T.S.E. local 695 Board of Directors since 2017.
