Parametric EQ & Dynamic Range Control: Q&A with George Massenburg
George Massenburg's AES paper defined the idea of what is known as the “Parametric EQ." His work in EQ and Dynamic Range Control (DRC) continue to pioneer the pathway for processing technologies. George's vast list of accomplishments also includes acoustics & studio design, design and manufacturing of analog-processing equipment, moving fader systems, design and programming of digital signal-processing tools. In addition to being a renowned educator, he is a recipient of Grammy® awards for engineering and Tec® and AES (Lifetime Achievement) awards. Spend some time with George in a lively, informal town hall setting and get to ask George himself your questions about EQ and Compression.
