GUIDED TOUR: Inside the New, Connected Machine Room

Location: Tour starts outside of the Gary Grant Mix Stage

A chief engineer and stage technician-focused tour of Sony Pictures Studios’ key technical spaces—machine rooms, mix stages, four-way screen array monitor systems, networked IT backbone, etc.

ENGINEERS PRESENTATION: It’s Not MY Movie!

Location: Burt Lancaster Mix Stage

AKA Why Doesn’t It Sound Like What I Mixed on the Dub Stage? SMPTE’s 27C-20 Cinema Sound working group will demonstrate how they are testing theaters and analyzing data to write a much-needed Cinema B-Chain Sound System Specifications and Test Procedures Recommended Practice to improve the consistency of movie sound in theaters.
