Sound Reel Showcase - Cary Grant Theater

A selection of the best-sounding films of 2026 will be featured at the audience-favorite Sound Reel Showcase.

The Sound Reel Showcase features a selection of 8-minute “reels” from each selected film or series, played back in Dolby Atmos, in the world-class Cary Grant Theater re-recording stage. For most of the films, a member of the sound team will provide an introduction.

World-Building for Spider-Man: The Marriage of Sound FX & Foley - William Holden Theater

In 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day hit cinemas and broke the box office, while the darker and more shadowy Spider-Noir premiered on Prime Video and garnered 11 Emmy nominations, including for Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing. In this special panel discussion, Mix sits down with key members of the two sound teams to find out each created their own sonic world, one for the big screen and one for the streams, built on a foundation of sound design, sound effects and Foley.

The Sound of Horror - William Holden Theater
